About this portfolio

Welcome to my portfolio — a collection of academic and creative projects that reflect my curiosity for storytelling, media culture, and design. I’m passionate about exploring how ideas connect people across disciplines, blending research with creative expression.

Games Industries and Cultures

Professor Layton and The New World Of Steam

As part of the Games Industries and Cultures module at King’s College London, I created a magazine-style article analysing Professor Layton and the New World of Steam before its release. The project combined academic research with journalistic storytelling, exploring how narrative design and cultural context shape the player experience.

Through this project, I examined how cross-media storytelling and franchise strategy sustain cultural longevity in Japanese video games. By analysing the Professor Layton series, I explored the intersection of narrative design, audience engagement, global marketing, the application of cutscenes in video games and puzzle-solving mechanics. This process strengthened my ability to connect theoretical research with creative editorial production.

Immersive Media and Extended Realities

A creative pitch for a large-scale immersive experience: The oversized realm

The Oversized Realm is a large-scale immersive experience designed as part of the Immersive Media and Extended Realities module at King’s College London. The concept invites participants to experience the world from a miniature perspective—where everyday objects become monumental and familiar spaces turn surreal.

Inspired by Gulliver’s Travels, Alice in Wonderland, and Doraemon, the project explores how scale, nostalgia and play can evoke curiosity and emotional engagement. The experience combines narrative storytelling with interactive puzzle-based exploration, encouraging collaboration and discovery as visitors journey through oversized rooms and enchanted environments.

The project presentation included concept design, narrative structure, venue planning at ExCeL London, and spatial flow mapping, highlighting both the creative storytelling and technical feasibility of the experience. It reflects my interest in immersive design that blends fantasy with tangible, sensory interaction.
